Hi everybody! I am new to the French Forums, I have to say I am a bit embarrassed by my own painting based on some of your guys's work. But you gotta start somewhere. This will be a place for me to put pictures of my various WIP projects. I dont get much time to work on stuff and I usually have alot more going than I can handle XD so this is likely to have alot of near completion and scattered works. Apologies if that bugs you XD I think I mainly would like to share to provide others with inspiration and maybe get some tips/tricks in turn. So please enjoy and let me know what you think! Ill start off with my newest mini project, custom Mega Nobz for myself. I did just purchase a large order of Vanguard orks but I wanted to see what I could achieve at this scale. I am amazed at the detail that was retained by the shapeways prints (I just wish I was a better painter!) Pictured here with my Vostroyans I apologize for my sub par photo taking skillz Ive also been working steadily for some time on star wars stuff. Here is just some of what I have going on right now, only the Storm Troopers are finished. Ive been working on this custom Hellbrute for like a year trying to get him where I want him, still not quite there but he will get there eventually XD Also included is the model he is based off of. I also have a Stalk Tank model ive been working on with that hellbrute, It is very 'realistically' proportioned based on a set art piece so its extremely fragile. When I get around to doing more with it ill probably post it. It will likely be a diorama at his point, maybe of the ghosts? Finally atm I ahve spent a bit of time on a sort of hive world Hover Bike gang im doing, I like the way they are coming out but I wanted a big showpiece for them and also to be able to use for RPing so that what you got here. I should also mention that most of my stuff isnt actually for Epic Armagedon as you guys play it. I mostly use my miniatures for Role play purposes and also for a custom set of the Epic Rules emphasizing realistic, company level, Character Driven, Imperial Guard Centric rules. Which is why you might see some non standard basing. IE alot of single characters

I got my order from Vanguard delivered a few days ago and im pretty happy with my purchase. Ill probably have to eventually do one more big order from them to get everything I want but I got to see their stuff. Ive got some comparison shots to their Nobz. They actually are the same height even though I scalled mine against Baccus basically, so thats kewl!! But comparing the two and now sculpting a bit for 6mm in 3d and some physical I can talk about my personal difficulties with the scale. Specifically I have trouble in getting into the mindset of purposefully emphasizing certain features and proportions at this scale to make the model pop better to the eye and for painting. Normally my process would be to make thigs as realistically proportioned as possible because im already OCD about that (hence my other project I will disclose in the future) So this has definately been a growing expierance for me. I will say the Mega Nobz I made while very detailed were not made with this mindset of emphasizing proportions, however unlike the human figures ive done because orks in 40k are so naturally bulky and thick doing them to lore accurate measurements, they actually look pretty good. However for my next venture. I am really trying to get the proportions which fit more in line with regular gw heroic scale as opposed to my prefered historical or forgeworld stuff. I am making a concentrated effort on making a 'good' looking 6/8mm eldar guardian infantry armature. And thats partly to do with my disapointment with the Eloi guardians from vanguard. Not that they are bad, they are actually extremely good, In fact hands down the best eldar proxies on the market. But I look at them and I want more detail, I want closer geometry to eldar gear. Its just for me, because I am detail oriented that I have this strange uncanny valley feeling when I look at them closely that just nags at me. Which to be honest wouldnt be a problem at all for large games where youre not going to be inspecting details. But I do alot of single base characters and I just have this urge to get really detailed and as close as I can. That said I think the proportions is really going to be a challenge for me so heres hoping. The comparison shots. So these are the Vanguard Meganob proxies next to my own mega nobz. I should note its not really fair that the Vanguard ones arent painted but im very slow and didnt have time for it. I was surprised that my Nobz were pretty much the same height/size as the vanguard ones as I scaled mine for baccus or 8mm But theres alot of things that I mentioned previously to go over here, for my own education anyway. Firstly the Vanguard model really plays with proportions in the way I mentioned previously which I like and I actually really like the way the vanguard models look. Im not sure I would change my models now at this point because I think its something you have to consider from the start instead of changing later. That said my models are more detailed, more realistically proportioned, I also like my poseing far better. That said I honestly dont think my models are better, at least not for the average game. Looking at these models from a distance in fact the Vanguard models might even look better when painted and in groups. So I think for the vast majority of 6mm players (IE not me who does alot of Role Play too) the vanguard might be preferable. In fact the only time I see my models as better would be for maybe Dioramas or again role play. As it stands currently though because I get my own through shapeways they are prohibitively expensive. So while I am slightly discouraged at how much effort was perhaps wasted I also think this is very valuable information for future modeling endeavors with 3d for 6mm So that said I want to talk about my newest endeavor, spurred on by my latest Vanguard purchase also. So their Eldar proxies are as ive said great, easily best on the market. I want to link one good paintjob I saw of them, I again cant recall where I got this image. Apologies. But I really dig the way they look there as a unit, which is perhaps the most important thing for 6mm models. For me however I find I have some major qualms with these guys, admittedly I think this is only going to effect me with my OCD They arent as detailed as I would like, and perhaps more grievously they are just slightly off in certain ways. The largest offenders for me are the helmet and butt. The helm I think is actually maybe inspired by older eldar styles? which is fine but I grew up with the newer style or perhaps prefer them so its just aesthetically something that bugs me. And the butt armour on these guys!! I cant quite describe it fully but it really bugs me! and their posing, maybe its apparent with my mega nobz and the astartes figs I like, but I enjoy really natural and expressive poses, and especially variety. These guys do have variety especially for 6mm guys but I just find myself not thrilled with their poseing. All that said I dont want it to sound like they are bad miniatures, like Mcjakub said. Its just that I am incredibally OCD and anal about this stuff! XD so anyway I started on making a Guardian Armature for myself that will hopefully incorporate things ive now learned from modeling at this scale. This is a few hours worth of work so far and to be honest the most work is proportions and getting things right for the scale. ESPECIALLY as I dont have a way of printing these guys out to test how they look before I commit to a size ratio, so its ALOT of guesstimation which im not sure I like, or rather its just slowing my process. But I really would like comments or specificalyl criticisms of this build. Oh and yes the kneepads are different sizes, its one of the many things keeping me annoyed as to what size I should make them Xd Obviously its still WIP

So I finished my first print with the Anycubic, and im more than a little excited. heres how the Mega Nob character turned out after a bit of clean up there is actually alot of little things wrong with him and a major problem with part of his arm but all of these things were because of my inexperience with resin 3d printing and im pretty sure I can fix so im not overly concerned about them Specifically I had too much support in certain areas, like his head, which distorted the detail and too few on at least his gun arm which resulted in a flat spot. The other model I printed (both in the same batch) was the Big Mega Mad Mek B triple M turned out pretty good as well but his tech arm klaws were too thin and the upper chainblade receiver wasn't probably supported leading to breaks and distortion, as well as in his face. Here they are on either side of my Warboss whos paint job is not finished. There is two sizes of warboss in this photo, one to indicate a large warboss and the other to indicate a very large example of a warlord, akin to Thraka. Both of the new models have a lyaer of primer and some wash, there is also some vanguard not eldar in there for size reference. Finally heres a better shot of the Warboss Alright those pics of the printed models werent very good so I just shot two more real quick to show detail better. Im learning to handle 6mm proportions better now too. Gettin the hang of it I think I likely wont be keeping these two guys as I vew them as prototypes, im likely going to give them away. If youre interested let me know

Time for another little update with some pics. Life is still super busy for me and I dont get all the time id like to do this stuff. Oh well. WARNING GRAPHIC CONTENT NSFW First id like to show some of the 3d projects ive got going. Im doing a Nemeroth Proxy, Daemonette Proxies, and just one of the main files I have for my orks (mostly Mega nob chars) WARNING GRAPHIC CONTENT NSFW Thought id share some past photos of some projects that are still WIP like the stalk tank and one of the first photos I took of the Hellbrute Finally the Slaanesh Bio Titan im working on for a sort of AT piece/Diorama and is also why I was working on some varied Deamonette poses (including sex poses) as you can tell I have the idea in my head to go as wierd and sort of Slaanesh lustful/nasty as I can. I dont normally do gross or graphic content in that way for models. Mainly just gore stuff so I wanted to go all out. So the story is the Deamon Titan is more of a biological factory that takes unwilling victims in one of its many orifices and then transforms them inside of itself into deamons of various kinds. So I want deamonettes on teh base leading a chain of restrained prisoners into this things rectum, while I have Daemonettes coming out the frontal Vagina orifice. And just various lewd and disturbing acts going on throughout the scene like rape, murder, etc.
